Graham Orpwood, Ph.D., Scholar

Professor Graham Orpwood is a Professor Emeritus and Senior Scholar, York University. Professor Orpwood has been spent 30 years in the field of policy research in education. He has worked at Federal, Provincial and Local levels as well as in international fields, as a research manager and director, methodologist, Ministerial advisor, author, lecturer and consultant. Currently Professor Orpwood is project manager for the College Mathematics Project (http://collegemathproject.senecac.on.ca): a large scale project in the Ontario College system that seeks to understand why too many students fail mathematics in first year of college and to find ways of improving this situation. CMP is funded by the two Education ministries and includes all 24 colleges and 72 school boards.
